PPF (paint protection film) is a thick, self-healing urethane that physically blocks rock chips and bug damage. Ceramic coatings are a chemical sealant that adds gloss and makes your paint easier to wash. For high-impact areas (front bumper, hood, mirrors), PPF wins. For overall shine and ease of maintenance, ceramic wins. Many customers do both — PPF on the front clip, ceramic over the rest.
